- Do I require a visa to enter the UK?
If you are a visa-national, you must secure a visa prior to travelling. Non-visa nationals (listed below) do not need to apply for a visa beforehand if their stay is under 6 months. Upon arrival, your passport may be stamped at the airport. Certain non-visa nationals can use e-gates without presenting any documents, but it’s advisable to carry a visa letter from Trafalgar Language and Management College, should immigration officials ask for it.

- Can I extend my course while in the UK?
Yes, this is allowed as long as it falls within your visa validity. However, extending a Standard Visitor Visa or a Short-term Study Visa while in the UK is not possible. Alternatively, if you wish to extend a Student Visa, you will need a new sponsorship for the additional period. Therefore, please consult your new sponsor for guidance.
- Can I switch institutions on a Short-Term Study Visa?
No, this is not allowed.
- Am I able to work while studying in the UK?
No, working is not permitted on a Standard Visitor Visa or Short-term Study Visa. Moreover, if you are studying on a Student Visa at a language school, working is also prohibited. Therefore, we recommend referring to the Home Office website and guidance for Student Visa conditions regarding employment.
